A good compilation of the old and new of speculative writers where colour is used as a tool for political power relations and substrates of knowledge. The list includes some of my favourites LOTR, BNW and Attwood. They are good examples of where fiction in particular BNW and The Handmaid's tale are used to question prevailing social issues of their time but also in a universal manner. The issues those two books tackle are as relevant today as they were when they were written.
