The Story and Stories

Clare L Rolfe started her writing journey reading Tolkien, Herbert, Dr Who, Asimov, Huxley, De Beauvoir, Weil, Camus, Dostoyevski, just to name a few. All the while, her own epic stories were circulating in the background just waiting for pen to hit paper.

Dissatisfied with modern fantasy fiction recent releases, Clare began work on her own characters and stories to fill, what she felt as, a void in the epic and grand scale of classic fantasy novels. Works such as Lord of the Rings by Tolkien or the Dune saga by Herbert had come to fruition and shed a torchlight on the fantasy genre that could be rich and meaningful. But where to start?

Drawing upon her own experiences and environment in Australia, Clare sat down and began fleshing out what would eventually become the Legend of Caemeris to life. But it was no simple task!

Great works of any fiction take an enormous amount of time and foresight to really make grand sagas as timeless as the Lord of the Rings or A Song of Ice and Fire. For many years, Clare's literary expertise was put to work in the development of an epic fantasy.

What you see today in the Legend of Caemeris series is the result of a deep and rich fantasy story that covers the breadth of adventure, romance, magi, providence, and courage. Though Clare's work is not done yet. The saga carries on!
